The Materials Manager will be responsible for managing Elyria Replenishment Analysts and inventory control personnel and ensuring that the procurement process runs efficiently. You will lead all aspects of the entire materials management process, working closely with the manufacturing and distribution center teams. Your goal will be to ensure that the company has the vital materials and resources to meet its production goals while minimizing costs.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Manage a team of Elyria Replenishment Analysts and inventory control personnel and provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to achieve department goals.
- Plan and complete replenishment activities in JDE, including purchasing/scheduling raw materials, components, and finished goods from suppliers.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that ensure the timely delivery of materials while minimizing inventory levels and costs.
- Monitor and adjust PFEP parameters as vital.
- Supervise supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the materials management function.
- Analyze data and provide reports to senior management on key performance indicators and supply chain metrics.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or other related discipline OR a combination of experience and education.
- At least five (5) years of purchasing/supply chain experience in a high-paced environment.
- Knowledge and in-depth understanding of inventory control, purchasing, and material planning systems & principles.
- Solid understanding of PFEP (Plan For Every Part) process and pull systems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Master’s degree, or MBA, in related field is preferred.
- Green and/or Black Belt certification preferred.
- JDE experience preferred.
