Job Summary/Company:
A Sparks Group client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a three-month contract. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for Windows server administration, supporting the daily operations of the client's data centers. Reporting to the Team Manager, the incumbent provides expert server administration, maintenance, and application-related server support. This role requires extensive knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, PowerShell scripting, server monitoring, security requirements, and AWS Cloud.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Windows servers, ensuring the smooth daily operations of ACS data centers.
Provide expert technical support for Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, and application-related server issues.
Lead projects, facilitate partnerships with peers and customers, and participate in after-hours on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
College degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of related senior-level experience in server administration and technical problem-solving.
Proficiency with Exchange 2016/Online, M365, Windows Server (2012/R2/2016/2019), Dell Hardware Platforms, SQL Clustering, and VMware; experience with Ansible, AWS Cloud, and Containers is a plus.
Expertise in server preparation, installation, operation, integration, and monitoring, along with a strong understanding of server operating systems, email communications, web technologies, software, hardware, system performance measurement, configuration analysis, and computer security. Excellent written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
