The Worldwide Events team is the biggest party planning committee on the planet, driving a global vision and execution of High Velocity Events (HVEs) for our customers -- think Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday! We work across our US and global partners to deliver exciting offers & deals, a personalized shopping experience, and all-around excitement during the biggest shopping days of the year.
As a Program Manager, Site Merchandising on this team, you'll be responsible for making that vision come to live on Amazon.com through bar-raising campaigns and data-driven merchandising. This includes playing a critical role in building the onsite merchandising governance for US partner teams, as well as executing the plan of record for US Central Event merchandising. This role provides the resources and guidance necessary for US teams to be able to execute HVEs to the plan of record, including onsite merchandising guidance, timelines, best practices, and communication with internal stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you will have a mix of program and marketing management skills. You have the ability to think critically about the execution of merchandising at scale. You need to be an excellent communicator both in person and in written communications, as we have 80+ partner teams participating in HVEs. You are able to work autonomously, build relationships outside of your immediate team, and have demonstrable experience in stakeholder management.
Key job responsibilities Program Manager, Site Merchandising role responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Create and communicate merchandising governance for High Velocity Events (HVEs) for US partner teams - Build and maintain HVE Merchandising Wiki for partner teams - Raise the bar on merchandising campaigns for central and partner teams, including running Content Bar Raising (CBR) quality checks, experimentation bug bash, campaign audits, etc. ahead of HVEs - Regularly communicate expectations, decisions made, and business critical information to partner teams via email, Slack, and Office Hours - Build HVE merchandising campaigns within tools like Content Symphony and Babel; leveraging experimentation tools like weblabs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology - Experience in MS Access and SQL - Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
