Make your mark in Protective Services
Works under the general direction of AIG Global Security exercising reasonable latitude in determining protective services techniques to accomplish objectives. Participates in providing protective services programs for the Chairman, CEO-President, and members of the Board of Directors, and other Senior Executives of the firm and their families. Will participate in protective programs to include personal protection, corporate facilities, residences, airfields, event security, ground transportation protocols, personal assistance and special projects.
The key responsibilities of the Executive Protection Agent/Security Driver include but not limited to:
How you will create an impact
- Provide for the safety and personal security of the Principal
- Perform vehicle transportation functions as necessary and maintain the executive transportation vehicle to include routine maintenance and mandatory equipment.
- Mitigate threats and vulnerabilities via various means.
- Act as Advance Team lead when the Principal travels.
- Independently preplan at event sites. Investigate, review and assess security arrangements and intelligence gathering. Coordinate with local law enforcement and private sector resources.
- Independently investigate, review and analyze potential security risks at locations while Principal is present.
- Act as AIG’s-Global Security point person with local law enforcement and venue management/security to assess potential risks and recommend and/or implement risk mitigating measures.
- Determine composition and extent of local security resources.
- Recommend and/or direct the Principal in matters relating to Security.
- Travel with short notice, as required.
- Follow operation plans and handle trip requirements as directed by Corporate Security Managers.
- Mitigate threats and vulnerabilities via proactive means, site visits, and pre-planning security events.
- Maintain proficiency in relevant protective services training.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or International equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position and/or equivalent combination of formal education/training & experience of 10+ years’ experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public agency.
- NYS Armed Guard License- Required
- HR 218- Required
- CPR/AED- Certification
- Dignitary/Executive Protection experience- Preferred.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Lift items up to 50 pounds
- Maintain a flexible work schedule.
