Job Duties and Qualifications
With general autonomy, responsible for development and implementation of the Halliburton Sustainable Development Program governance, systems and processes on a global basis.
Provides strategic and tactical support to PSLs and Business Development to differentiate the Company in competitive bids and customer engagements.
Collaborates closely with the Sustainability Reporting function to produce the annual Halliburton Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR), and other external facing assessments include the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) survey, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
Works closely with Halliburton executive management and senior leaders to ensure that the CSR accurately measures the Company's performance for key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) materiality factors.
Monitors and takes action to ensure that external ESG data aggregators use current, complete and correct Company ESG data derived from the CSR.
Assesses materiality factors to establish priorities and the overall mission and competitive strategy for the Company, which address the concerns expressed directly by external stakeholders and international standards.
Identifies gaps via benchmarking, establishes improvement targets, tracks and measures progress for key materiality factors to minimize significant impacts.
Monitors and communicates the impact analysis of regulatory, financial community and industry trends.
Provides leadership on sustainability program marketing, communication and outreach; oversees changes, updates, and improvements to corporate sustainability marketing materials.
Recognized as the subject matter expert for all inquiries about the Halliburton Sustainable Development Program.
Represents the Company's interests through active participation in industry groups (e.g. IPIECA, Society of Petroleum Engineers Social Responsibility and Sustainability sub-committee), governmental, and non-governmental organizations, etc.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of existing sustainability reporting standards and legislation, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and others is required.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Social Science, Supply Chain or Business Management, or Finance. Requires at least five years of related working experience.
A Master's Degree may be used to substitute for a portion of experience requirement. Certification from an accredited organization (e.g. ISSP, LEED) is preferred.
