Role is responsible for safe handling and operation of Entertainment equipment such as lighting, sound, pneumatics, and the technical running of Scare Zones. Entertainment Technician’s are required to interact with guests, team members, and supervisors on a daily basis. Additionally, give assistance to guest as needed. Entertainment Technicians are required to continuously work outdoors and closely with others. Occasionally will work alone. Will always be exposed to direct sunlight, dust, dirt, and water. Must be able to function in all weather conditions and for long periods of time.
Required Skills
Must have a good understanding of lighting and sound equipment
Basic operation of a lighting/sound console
Ability to set and adjust microphone levels
Ability to hang and focus a light based off a Light Plot
Ability to run a CD, MP3, or DVD player
Ability to run a show with automated light board, audio player, and a single microphone
Must have the ability to understand, maintain and operate special effects
Fog machines
Pneumatic systems
Sound control systems
Must have basic troubleshooting skills
Regularly give equipment basic maintenance and have the ability to use tools
Cleaning
Testing
Properly replace Lamp/Gel/Batteries
Arrange Safe handling of all equipment (lighting, microphones, amplifiers, etc.)
Must be able to move large props on and off stage/view of guests
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Must show a willingness to learn and apply skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to promote the park with the utmost enthusiasm and pride while greeting guests
Analyze situations, read people, and use excellent judgment and decision making ability concerning both
Work in close proximity to potentially large crowds of people
Learn a large amount of knowledge about the park and use this in communication with others
Maintain proper attendance and abide by all Six Flags rules and regulations
Ensure guest safety and satisfaction in their stay at Six Flags
Resolve guest concerns that may arise on a daily basis
Respond to any emergency situations in the area and maintain control until a supervisor arrives
Ensure that image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are met
Refrain from consuming substances that may impair judgment
Cooperate with all team members and managers
Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management

Willing to actively engage guests
Additional Job Requirements:
May be required to assist in other parts of the department including greeting.
At least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak , and understand the English language
Available to work flexible hours at night and on the weekends
Must have excellent customer service skills
Requires continuous sitting or standing, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day
Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day over various surfaces
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs over 25 feet over various surfaces
Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 6’ in height
