Summary CHENEGA PRO FEDERAL SOLUTIONS, LLC Gaithersburg, MD The Medical Secretary provides telephone/receptionist duties with the ability to effectively communicate information regarding health services provided and procedures associated with same; schedule patient appointments; maintains administrative files and confidential medical records; type correspondence, reports, and purchase orders for non-HHS supplies; order office supplies; and perform related health unit administrative/clerical duties. Responsibilities Assist employees involved in work-related injuries/illnesses in the completion of Worker's Compensation Forms CA-1, CA-2 and CA-2A and issue CA-16s and CA-17s as necessary. Serve as Contractor's staff liaison with NIST Safety Office to ensure effective/efficient Process workers' injury/illness claims. Coordinate billing, records, and management of the associated laboratory, radiological, and other integrated services necessary for the operation of the Health Unit, and maintenance of employee and associate health and wellness. Responsible for running the daily operations of the office either by own direct involvement or by overseeing the work of other administrative/clerical support. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma Minimum one (1) year of recent full-time employment. Ability to type 40 WPM with three or less errors. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Word Suite Experience as a medical secretary/receptionist in an occupational health unit OR in an industrial/science laboratory type of business enterprise OR in the office of a physician practicing occupational, preventive or internal medicine.
