ManTech is seeking a Human Resource Analyst to administer the Company’s Leave Programs and serve as a mid-level trusted advisor on routine and complex leave requests with minimal oversight or guidance. As a valued member of our collaborative Human Capital team, the analyst may be asked to take on additional HR Operations responsibilities during times of surge, to fill gaps, or in response to shifts or escalation in priorities. This is a hybrid position based in Herndon, VA.
The Human Resources Analyst will report to the Executive Director of HR Operations and will be responsible for assisting with development and implementation of process improvement of leave programs as well as policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. The successful candidate will be able to build productive relationships with clients and peers and apply their experience to collaborate with other subject matter experts and advisory partners. The ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to personal information to ensure requests are handled discreetly, effectively, and efficiently is critical. This role requires that the Analyst be highly organized, take initiative and have high attention to detail demonstrating accountability for accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Respond to procedural leave and disability questions based on Company policy, Federal/state laws, and insurance plans
Evaluate all leave requests and coordinate with the external Leave Management vendor ensuring compliance with leave laws and insurance plans as applicable to leave type
Facilitate an effective and robust leave management program by independently analyzing and managing multiple leave requests for a geographically dispersed workforce
Interact with the leave management vendor to manage administration of leave, leave tracking process, and leave transactions for accuracy and provide timely notifications to employees, managers, and HR Business Advisors using HRIS (Workday) and other communication methods
Provide weekly Leave status updates for HR Business Advisors, HR Service Center, Payroll, and other key stakeholders
Confirm requests for Leave based on approved leave type for employees and updated HRIS System
Monitor payment of benefits elections during an unpaid leave of absence with external vendor
Manage all return-to-work actions with employees, managers, HR Business Advisors and external vendor
Conduct periodic company-wide Leave training sessions for managers and HR Business Partners
Identify problems and trends that require corrective action and assists in developing necessary improvements relating to leave management and end to end leave processes
Constantly seek and make process improvements to enhance the overall leave process and communications including but not limited to HRIS (Workday) processes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of Benefits experience with an emphasis on Leave, Disability, and ADA compliance. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Extensive knowledge of Federal, state, and local sick, disability, and leave laws (e.g., California, DC, Washington State, etc.)
Proven ability to work both independently and cross-functionally and partner at multiple levels across the company to resolve issues and address sensitive, difficult, or challenging situations, often managing multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
Must have HRIS experience, preferably with Workday
IT/HR Service Management system experience, such as ServiceNow
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience across other areas of HR, outside of leave administration
Familiarity with Google Suite
GovCon experience
Experience working in a HR Shared Services model
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
