The Senior Director, FP&A Business Operations drives eHealth’s financial strategy and provides FP&A leadership and vision to achieve company’s financial goals through planning, measuring, analyzing and improving its business performance.
This role drives financial success for the company and business units through assessment of financial goals and business opportunities. Key responsibilities including directing the FP&A work primarily supporting the Marketing and CCE functions of the company as well as Business Development. This role is responsible for all areas of financial planning & analysis for these areas of the business, which includes developing financial and business plans, driving sales forecasting process, partnering with and providing strategic support to senior leaders (including C-level), and driving analyses for key business issues and operational metric reporting.
What you’ll do:
Provide strategic direction and support to the Business Development, Marketing, and CCE teams to assess capital and operating investment opportunities, trade-offs, resource prioritization, and risks, to optimize the company’s ROI.
Proactively partner with technology and marketing leaders to drive fixed operating expense forecasting process, segment allocation process, and analysis of key variance drivers
Collaborate with rest of Financial Planning & Analysis team and Accounting to consolidate and analyze financial results, and forecast P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Compile all data and materials for forecast review, Board presentations, All Hands, and quarterly earnings release
Coordinate and consolidate monthly and quarterly forecast
Develop and present business insights on risks and opportunities
Develop, coach and assess team capabilities and succession planning. Leverage best practices, standardization, and automation to scale Operating Expenses and Corporate FP&A teams
Support CFO, investor relations and other business leaders with ad-hoc requests
Assist on acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities as part of the broader corporate strategy development and execution
What you will bring:
A minimum BS degree in finance or business and technical related field with excellent academic record, MBA preferred
10+ years of progressive roles in finance, strategic planning, investment banking, private equity, management consulting or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis function in a direct-to-consumer environment and / or Marketing enterprise, preferably related to health insurance balanced with operational and commercial finance exposure
Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively develop relationships with stakeholders and work with senior management
Demonstrated strong leadership performance, with increasing levels of responsibility and team coaching & development
Track record of leading and collaborating cross-functionally to gain buy-in, support, and assistance from key stakeholders and organizations
Proven distinctive problem solving and strategic thought leadership
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
Knowledge of Medicare, digital marketing, Insurance sectors required
Experience with Workday, Tableau, and Adaptive Planning

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
