From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our product marketing efforts for Pixel phones, working closely with product teams to help define the product roadmap through consumer insights. You will work closely with key stakeholders to define positioning and messaging while focusing on awareness, engagement, and retention. You will work closely with multiple marketing teams and cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Business Development, Sales, Retail, Legal, Public Relations, and the regional teams.Know the user. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Define and evolve product naming, branding, positioning, features, and messaging; work with Product Management, Research and Analytics, Engineering, Sales, Consumer Marketing, and Public Relations to define and execute on product launch and adoption strategies.
- Conduct product research that offers insights into the competition, needs and wants of global consumers and identify product gaps where Google could better satisfy end user needs.
- Help cross-functional marketing and channel teams to position, message, and execute marketing campaigns across multiple touchpoints.
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate the user needs and wants into product requirements; co-drive long-term product roadmap along with the Product Management and Engineering teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in marketing.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with high productivity with exceptional performance.
- Knowledge and understanding of Google Hardware’s strategic and competitive position.
- Ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns.
