Job Title: Senior Formulation Scientist- Westchester, NY

You’ll be at the forefront of new formulation development, testing, and troubleshooting, contributing to the success of our brands. Formulate a range of rinse-off and leave-on products including feminine washes, lotions, gels, creams, and wipes to uphold the integrity of brand.
Develop formulations for hair color and hair care products, supporting the continuity of our Men’s care and Men’s grooming business.
Utilize cost-benefit analysis to reformulate existing products, optimizing prototypes while maintaining efficacy and consumer satisfaction.
Demonstrate proficiency in the chemistry of raw materials such as surfactants, polymers, emulsions, and gels.
Evaluate formula/package compatibility and product stability to identify optimal prototypes for launch/re-launch.
Conduct comprehensive product efficacy testing, stability assessments, and physicochemical characterizations in adherence to company protocols.
Foster cross-functional collaboration with R&D partners, Quality Control, Packaging, and Manufacturing teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve formulation, stability, and process issues during prototype development and scale-up.
Stay abreast of both U.S. and global regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with regulatory groups for the development and launch of OTC drugs and medical devices.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of formulation experience in skin care, personal care, and hair care industries.
In-depth knowledge of various raw materials including surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers, and preservatives.
Proven experience in conducting stability studies, product evaluations, and understanding processing and scale-up processes.
Familiarity with OTC regulations and global regulatory compliance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering.
Previous formulation experience in personal care products and a solid understanding of chemical functionality and processing.
