As part of our Camera Technologies group, you’ll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You’ll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we’ll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras.The Depth Test Engineering group is responsible for research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. The Test team is looking for depth module calibration & test engineer with responsibilities for the designing and bringing up the hardware and software that calibrates and tests the imaging components that go into Apple products. You will be involved with designing, implementing, debugging, and developing the methods to calibrate imaging systems and then the metrics to quantify their performance at factories around the world!
Strong understanding of imaging systems, camera technologyExperience in image processing or software development, programming experience with Matlab / C++ preferred.Exceptional Mechanical/HW/SW problem solving and optimization skillSelf-motivated professional. Good team player w/ passionExperience in lens characterization methodology and calibration is a plusExperience on camera/depth sensing device/optical device test would be big plus
Core responsibilities include:Develop new testers/critical optical component to meet design requirements for calibration and test.Develop and deploy software that calibrates and tests imaging systems.Analyze volume data to provide guidance on engineering decisions.
