Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated Packaging division is looking for a Business Development Manager to support our corrugated packaging business in the Northeast to support our box facility in Mt. Wolf, PA primarily as well as our sister facilities across the GP Corrugated organization.
A successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for sustained and profitable sales growth in the industrial or manufacturing corrugated market with a focus on new business, customer service, value creation and general market awareness. The Growth Sales Representative reports to the Field Sales Manager.
Candidate Location: We are seeking a candidate located within a reasonable proximity to Reading, Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, PA near our Mt. Wolf, PA box facility. Up to 50% field travel in this position and with visits to prospects, customers, and GP plant facilities for team collaboration. This is a home-based position.

What You Will Do
- Manage your territory with an entrepreneurial spirit, actively prospecting and growing your sales pipeline.
- Find and pursue new business opportunities through diverse channels like cold calling, networking, and marketing leads.
- Develop strong connections with key contacts through professional sales calls and consistent follow-ups.
- Analyze market needs, pricing, and manufacturing to ensure client satisfaction. Drive product development and ensure successful projects through plant trials and press checks.
- Work closely with internal Marketing, Technical, and Manufacturing teams to deliver seamless solutions for your customers.
- Build strong relationships at all levels within accounts and prospects, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with professionalism, exceeding your monthly sales quota and revenue targets.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics) to manage activities, forecasts, strategies, and pricing effectively.
- Report and track your sales performance, allowing you to refine your strategies for continuous improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- A proven track record of at least 2 to 3 years of outside selling experience in B2B, packaging, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills enabling you to build strong connections with clients.
- Experience generating leads and building a robust pipeline, demonstrating your ability to drive business growth.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, including potential overnights stays.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s license, allowing you to hit the road and seize new opportunities.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Industry experience in corrugated, will be advantageous, giving you insights.
- Continuing education (i.e., bachelor’s degree, technical training, etc.) or equivalent experience in corrugated packaging will set you apart as a candidate dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth within the industry.
