The purpose of this position is to provide assistance with early detection of reading problems and to ensure that all students are reading at or above grade level.

Qualifications
Some knowledge of academic subjects; of school board policies and procedures and ISS regulations and practices. Demonstrated ability to tutor and supervise students, particularly in a disciplinary setting and to handle sensitive and difficult situations and students. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents and staff and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume responsibility without direct supervision; to prioritize work and to follow oral and written instructions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or teaching license preferred.
