General Description / Primary Purpose
This is work performing parking services enforcement for the campus.
Essential Duties
Job Function
· Employee has a proficient understanding of all virtual parking solutions offered by the University and can effectively articulate the uses and navigation of products and services. Virtual parking solutions are as follows: License Plate Recognition (LPR) vehicles and associated hardware/software, mobile enforcement handheld, and handheld radio, and immobilization devices.
· Responsible for enforcing proper parking regulations by driving a state vehicle armed with license plate recognition cameras and/or a golf cart.
· Efficiently enforces all designated parking areas on campus using license plate recognition software to ensure compliance with parking policies and regulations, proper citing techniques, identifying vehicles in violation of parking regulations, proper use of handheld and LPR software, and two-way radio communications and immobilization devices.
· Inspects parking garages for proper signage, lighting and maintenance and reports deficiencies to enforcement supervisors.
· Applies vehicle immobilization devices to vehicles with outstanding citations.
· Responsible for completing cage duties such as offloading handled units, sanitizing commonly touched areas in enforcement vehicles and/or golf carts, stocking all enforcement vehicles and/or golf carts with necessary materials for citing and immobilizing vehicles in violation.

· Cleaning, installing, and removing signs, replacing hardware
· Assists with setting up and taking down of barricades for events.
· Completing accident reports in the event of an incident and immediately reporting to supervisors
· Reporting all hazards such as broken wheel stops, potholes, worn signs or chemical spills to supervisors
· Transporting golf carts and enforcement vehicles for maintenance * When needed, assists on training with new student patrollers
· Other duties as assigned that may require to adjust normal schedule such as filling in during other employee’s absences either requiring opening at 7am or closing at 6pm.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and two years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
