What You’ll Do :
• Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment; use dynamic routing program to efficiently route outbound product. • Seek out and schedule backhauls where appropriate; provide inbound report receiving. • Build/update inbound/outbound orders in dispatch program, and adjust delivery/backhaul assignments to accommodate breakdowns, late trucks and other changes. • Respond promptly to driver inquiries regarding breakdowns, directions, product count discrepancies and monitors drivers’ hours to prevent DOT violations. • Adjust delivery and backhaul assignments to accommodate breakdowns, late trucks and other changes. • Work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, earning hourly pay beginning at $17.75 per hour, with excellent benefits including health, 401K, PTO & paid holidays.
What Experience and Education You Need :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
One year of work experience performing dispatch for tractor trailer drivers.
What Could Set You Apart:
- Previous experience performing dispatch in a frozen food storage environment
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. • Good customer service skills • Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Physical Requirements :
