What's this role all about?
As a full time Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting.
Perform evaluations
Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies
Complete discharge planning for patients
Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow exams and video swallow evaluations
Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, databases, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited SLP program - Masters minimum
License/Certification Requirements:
Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California
Basic Life Support (BLS)
What else are we looking for?
Minimum of one year experience in an acute care setting that includes clinical swallowing evaluations, modified barium swallow evaluations, speaking valve evaluations. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.
