Responsibilities
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other requirements.
Develop and coordinate a full review of the program office’s records management program.
Develop and train program office personnel on records management process that is aligned with DoD and A&S requirements.
Maintain oversight for the data governance and records management programs across the program office.
Prepare high-quality and error-free documents ready for Government action and artifacts, as required by the case, and update all appropriate correspondence trackers.
Share best practices with program office to improve data governance and records management compliance across all directorates.
Keep leadership abreast of the status of the records management program and disclose any issues that may impact the timely achievement of client deliverables.
Make determinations on disclosures, issuance of denials, redactions, access to Federal agency records, and dissemination of personally identifiable information.
Synthesize information to draft executive summaries, narrative reports, FOIA responses, and other deliverables. Identify gaps in information and collaborate with DoD stakeholders to complete taskings on or ahead of schedule.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is an experienced Records Management Officer that is eager to learn and thrive in a team environment. Specifically, the candidate will be proficient in the following:
Capable of using the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
Highly organized.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Exceptional client-facing communication skills.
Experience working with Senior Executives in the Government, preferably the DoD.
Ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) is required. Proficiency in Power BI or other business intelligence tools is highly desired.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Five years of applicable work experience in records management.
Clearance: This position requires an active TOP SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Location: Work is performed on Government site at the Pentagon, within Nakupuna offices in Arlington, Virginia, and via telework. Employment is not full-time telework but conducted in a hybrid schedule consisting of both on-site support and telework. Employees will work in close proximity with Government personnel.
Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to use stairs without assistance.
Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
