Under administrative direction, is responsible for assisting with duties related to completion of projects, programs, or initiatives for a City division or department. Serves as the specialist to the supervisor or manager of projects, programs or initiatives. Provide administrative support, schedule meetings and ensure deadlines are met. Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited two year or four year college or university in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, or closely related field preferred. One year of full-time paid experience in government or private industry is required. Substitution: Completion of a fellowship program, apprentice program, or other similar program; OR completion of a certification program, i.e., Project Management, Human Resources, etc. Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License or State-issued identification card. Must be proficient utilizing all Microsoft Office products.

Example of Duties Under general supervision organizes, coordinates, and monitors non-clinical operations, including management of records, information systems, and helping clients navigate insurance. Works collaboratively with fiscal unit and consultant partners on payments as needed. Handles patient inquiries via phone or written correspondence.
Develops and maintain a tracking system of incoming and late payments;
Works directly with the Public Health Services Collaborative responding to all claims and billing concerns;
Initiates late payment notices to relevant parties;
Respond to questions and complaints from patients or insurance companies;
Corrects and resubmit rejected claims;
Uses electronic medical record to register and update patient data as needed;
Develop payment plans;
Collaborates with clinical staff members and clerks to ensure accurate billing and to resolve discrepancies.
Works with staff on staff credentialing

Work Experience: • Two years billing experience preferred. • Medical terminology and one-year work experience in medical office setting preferred. • Excellent interpersonal skills with special emphasis on oral and written communication skills. • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred. • Preferred candidate will have experience working in reproductive health settings.
