Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing initial and on-going collection and re-assessment of data focusing on biophysical, psychological, environmental, self-care education and discharge preparedness; developing, implementing and evaluating the care of assigned patients in surgery; practicing effective problem identification and resolution using clinical knowledge base and sound decision making skills; performing scrub and/or circulating duties; applying Dignity Health core values to the performance of every job duty. - these Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum:
In the past three (3) years, one (1) year of clinical experience in an Operating Room setting in an acute care hospital required.
Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing.
Successful completion of a post-graduate perioperative training program.
Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse. (RN) Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred:
Cardiovascular surgery experience within the past five (5) years preferred.
