LSU Health New Orleans Division of Property and Facilities is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Custodian 1 or 2. There are multiple vacancies.
OVERNIGHT SHIFT: MONDAY EVENING TO SATURDAY MORNING FROM 9:00PM – 5:30AM.
This is work mainly performing floor care and maintenance duties in buildings on the Downtown Campus. Must have floor care experience. Also, may include performing general housekeeping responsibilities. These positions are part of a Career Progression Group (CPG). As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a (Custodian 1 or 2) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Please refer to the ‘Job Specifications’ tab located at the top of the LA Careers ‘Current Job Opportunities’ page of the Civil Service website for specific information on salary ranges, minimum qualifications and job concepts for each level.
Starting rate of pay for a Custodian 1 is $10 and Custodian 2 is $10.70 per hour. There is also an additional $1 Shift Differential and Pay $1 Longevity pay for hours worked only. Rate may be increased depending on applicants’ qualifications.

This is a Civil Service Position. This position does not require applicants to take a Civil Service test.
