The Director of Finance directly supervises the Marketing Manager (finance related duties – AP/AR) and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with OVG’s policies and applicable laws.
This role will pay a salary of $80,000 to $100,000.

About the Venue
The Liacouras Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose venue located on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. The venue is a full-service sports and entertainment arena featuring Temple University Men’s and Women’s Basketball, along with a variety of concerts, family shows, meetings, banquets, and more! The largest indoor public assembly venue north of City Hall in Philadelphia at 340,000 sq. ft., formerly known as the Apollo of Temple, The Liacouras Center was renamed and dedicated to former Temple University President, Peter J. Liacouras, on February 13, 2000.
Responsibilities
• Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and policies and procedures. • Monitors compliance with all provisions of the management contract. • Maintains contact with Risk Management Department and Insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverage. • Reviews all contracts for clients, events, subcontractors, food and beverage, or concessionaires. • Reviews and/or prepares event settlements. • Reviews and executes all checks and deposits; reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements. • Oversee ticket sale receipts and reporting • Oversee food and beverage accounting • Maintains venue related licensing (liquor, amusement, and food prep) • Assist with show settlement including payments to promoters, compile all post-show financial info to enter into GL, prepare show income/loss reports • Prepare appropriate state and local tax returns, files timely • Develop and implement all financial reporting through BizNet software system. • Prepares financial statements for the Client and Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget, and Annual Report. • Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures. • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records. • Analyzes financial performance and cost analyses for all departments; prepares monthly financial statements, and recommends appropriate actions/changes in order to meet business goals. • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues. • Coordinates preparation of Client or external audit materials and financial reporting; implements recommendations of Client as requested.
Qualifications
• B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university. • CPA or MBA a plus • 5 to 7 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head. • Industry experience is preferred • Must successfully pass background and credit check Skills and Abilities: • Work nights and weekends if required. • Be a business partner with other departments ensuring the financial success of the venue. • Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting. • Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures. • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability. • Effective supervisory skills. • Must pass background and credit check per guidelines • Experience with Sage accounting software strongly preferred.
