Position Description Summary:
The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking a Medical Director for the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Acute Care Consult service. The person in this role will have a non-tenure track appointment at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full professor) and salary commensurate with experience. Those with interest in research are invited to apply.
The George Washington University Hospital is a level 1 trauma center with 16 bed CARF accredited acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. The position presents the opportunity to support the consult service, the Acute Rehabilitation unit and to grow an outpatient practice. Individuals with fellowship experience in traumatic brain injury are invited to apply.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
This position has clinical and teaching responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership and clinical teaching as evidenced by experience, training, and references; board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; and be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
