Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose
Instructor for Pacific Community Music School.
Essential Functions
Provide instruction in the form of private and group lessons.
Teach theory/musicianship courses and maintain an active studio throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
One (1) year of teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance
Three (3) years of documented teaching experience.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Requires extended periods of sitting and standing, bending and stooping, and occasional walking. Work is primarily performed in a standard classroom environment.
Hiring Range
$ 56.70 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
