THE WORK
Our Global Sustainment (GS) Team at our Ventura facility within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking an experienced individual to provide logistics management support for the MK 41 Logistics Support Facility. Our team provides MK 41 Logistics Support to the U.S. Navy and FMS nations including test and repair of VLS depot level repairable (DLR) items, installation & checkout (INCO) supply point, engineering, and field service support for all VLS ships (USN and allied, all baselines and configurations). Our current contracts include: VLS Design Agent Contract for VLS Program Office and VLS Fleet Supply Support (Performance Based Logistics) for NAVSUP supporting USN and FMS users.
The Logistics Management Analyst will be responsible for RMS GS Supply Chain Management (SCM) & Depot technology, tools, processes, resources, program performance, and schedule and report to LCSF Site Manager for all RMS GS SCM & Depot related matters. Responsibilities include:
• Respond to LM and USN inquiries and investigate, analyze and provide counsel to LM and USN program offices on matters relating to past, current and proposed repair of VLS system, subsystems and components in response to LM and USN inquiries or as deemed appropriate by the Staff Project Engineer to optimize firing availability of the VLS system by the USN and FMS fleets.
• Support estimates of effort to complete requested repairs, testing and shipment of VLS and associated support equipment to US locations and foreign countries to include this effort being performed by vendors
• Provide inputs as requested or as deemed appropriate by the Staff Project Engineer that identify candidate items for repair or test based on projected obsolescence, regular maintenance schedules, ship ORDALT schedules and new ship construction schedules
• Assist in the development and implementation of the GS SCM & Depot technology plans and common processes and applications.
This position will require frequent (daily) interface with senior level Customers, Line of Business Program Managers and other RMS functional support organizations including Tech Ops, Operations, Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Development, and Finance.

The Locale: Ventura is located northwest of Los Angeles on the California coast and is famed for the quality and frequency of the surfing conditions at spots such as Surfer's Point at Ventura County Fairgrounds. The population was 106,433 at the 2010 census. Downtown Ventura is home to the Mission San Buenaventura, museums, galleries, dining, and shopping. The Ventura Harbor has fishing boats, seafood restaurants and a retail center, Ventura Harbor Village.
