The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) provides analytical and consulting to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base by delivering critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies, and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of policy implementation to support the U.S. Government’s priorities of ensuring a resilient industrial base for strengthening national security.
SPA has a near-term need for a Microelectronics Industry Functional Expert for full-time, onsite support at the Pentagon or the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities
The Microelectronics Industry Functional Expert will support the CHIPS Coordination Cell (C3) in their mission to support program investments to secure U.S. domestic microelectronics innovation and supply, as well as developing a strong foundation for the next generation of microelectronics technology. The candidate will provide microelectronics advice and analytic support for C3 efforts to inform Industrial Base and supply chain capabilities supporting national defense. The candidate will identify risks to critical manufacture, design, and end use of microelectronics technologies areas impacted by potential disruptions in the chain and the national industrial supply base. Will support OUSD (A&S) C3 in the design, execution, and analysis of the Microelectronics industry and trends to support analytic efforts, outreach support research, and white papers based on industry research and coordination activities. Advise on design, execution, and analysis of industry surveys. Facilitate and participate in meetings with program sponsor, agencies, and project stakeholders. Conduct research on emerging technologies, industries, supply chains, and related matters. Draft presentation materials for briefing and outreach with partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant and recent experience supporting microelectronics industry
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field
Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to characterize microelectronics industry manufacturing data including supply chain risk
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in STEM related field
OSD experience
Experience involving trade and export control policies
