GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Air Quality Engineer in our West Region. The position will be located in Irvine, CA. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues meet to deadlines on unique and challenging projects.
- Work in self-directed role on air quality projects spanning a variety of disciplines including: air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, emissions reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and more.
- Conduct air quality impact analysis with SCREEN3 and AERMOD.
- Communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
- Support air quality compliance management in multiple industries, including: chemical/petro-chem, refining, electrical utility, petroleum refining, and manufacturing.
What you will bring to the team:
- B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Science or a related field; M.S. preferred.
- 0-5 years of air quality permitting, compliance and/or modeling experience; consulting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of air quality rules, regulations and agency structure in Texas and surrounding states.
- Air dispersion modeling experience with SCREEN3 and AERMOD preferred.
- Experience with initial applications, renewals and revisions for variety of permitting mechanisms, including, but not limited to: Title V, NSR, NNSR, PSD, GHG, Standard Permit, and Permits by Rule.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials in person and in writing.
- Proficiency in relevant software.

Salary Range: $74,980-$112,470 based on experience.
