Responsibilities
Provide analytical support in order to deliver financial results. Work with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis
Prepare cost reports including forecasts/outlooks
Assist with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting
Validate invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets. Identifies and implements improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
Update major economics impact and quantify ahead of any key Management of change decisions (e.g. – impact of dropping or shifting a rig to another area). Currently Development planning has an economics model that is way more complex for these purposes: this will be more of a fit for purpose Excel exercise using our existing financial tools
Coordinate MOC processes, especially keeping an eye on the external commitments and boundaries. Work with integrated team in understanding value proposition
Work with Planning team to ensure all the Plan on Plan differences are understood and key value levers are documented for upward communication
Provides guidance and leadership in stewarding the MOC process across all of the organizations involved with the Well Delivery Process
Assess and analyze signals / trends of MOCs in overall performance
Lead MOC Level 3 Meetings and Leadership Steering Committee meetings to assess validity of MOCs, confirm appropriate personnel to provide review of MOCs, and final recommendation on MOCs
Responsible for the accuracy and overall health of the eMOC tool across all organizations
Support MOC initiators and provide guidance to ensure timely submission and endorsement of MOCs as required
Qualifications
Engineering or Finance Degree preferred
3 years of Project or Operations Experience
Financial Analyst on Expert level has extensive experience in the field and can potentially supervise others or provide training
Financial reporting, data analysis, financial systems, attention to detail
Able to work with minimal work direction and is highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position
PC proficiency
