JOB SUMMARY

This position oversees finance and budgetary matters related to the agency in one of areas of Field Finance or Corporate Finance reporting to the VP of Finance. Responsibilities of this position includes but is not limited to financial budgeting, planning, analysis, reporting, and complex financial project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
- Manages the development, implementation, and monitoring of the budget and financial management and analyses of projects.
- Supports and participates in the overall planning, coordination, and administration for budget management process.
- Develops, revises, and implements budget administration processes and procedures.
- Manages the preparation and provision of financial, revenue, expenditure, fund status, and variance reports to management to enable financial and budgetary monitoring, control, and positive cash flow in the
- Identifies and advises management on budget concerns such as budget overruns, revenue shortfalls, and other financial issues.
- Provides financial consultation and assistance to management with preparation of budgets and proposals.
- Manages, develops, and leads a team of analysts in the designated area of financial responsibility
- Responds to inquiries and requests from management and other departments regarding budget/financial issues and special reports and analysis.
- Recommends options and solutions and works with management to resolve problems.
- Researches and analyzes management, operational and staffing issues to assess financial impacts.
- Supports management information and reporting requirements via the maintenance of current reports, design of new reports, and writing of ad-hoc reports as required.
- Creates and develops financial models for forecasting, financial planning, investment analysis, and project evaluation.
- Develops and supports improvements in the design and implementation of financial tracking, analyses, forecasting, and reporting systems.
- Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.

- Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.

Minimum Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Business, Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Two to Three (2-3) years of progressively responsible experience in all areas of financial planning and analysis required.
- Zero to Two (0-2) years of experience managing staff and peers required.
