Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Online and PowerApps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps, specifically within a government environment. This role requires a strong understanding of government security principles and data protection policies to ensure compliance and safeguard sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Development and Management:
- Design, develop, and manage SharePoint Online sites and solutions to support organizational needs.
- Customize SharePoint Online workflows, forms, and dashboards to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of SharePoint Online sites.
- Strong understanding and application of end-to-end access control for information systems (e.g., SharePoint Online, PowerApps)
PowerApps Development:
- Create, deploy, and maintain user defined applications using Microsoft PowerApps to streamline processes, improve data management and customer experience.
- Integrate PowerApps with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing PowerApps solutions effectively.
- Excellent skills in creating comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Government Security and Data Protection:
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance with government regulations for SharePoint Online and PowerApps environments.
- Ensure data protection measures are in place to safeguard sensitive government information.
- Conduct regular security and privacy assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Successfully delivering prototypes and proof of concepts to validate secure technical solutions and innovative ideas.
Project Management:
- Lead projects related to SharePoint and PowerApps development from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.
- Prepare and present project status reports and documentation.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of SharePoint and PowerApps.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding and utilization of SharePoint and PowerApps.
- Create and maintain user guides and documentation for SharePoint and PowerApps solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Azure, SharePoint Online, PowerApps, or Microsoft 365 are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps in a government or highly regulated environment.
- Proven track record of developing and managing SharePoint sites and custom PowerApps solutions.
- Strong experience in implementing government security principles and data protection measures.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online and related technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
- Strong understanding of government security protocols, data protection laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances as required by the government agency.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and processes.
