Plans and manages effective development communications materials for the University such as acknowledgements, proposals, stewardship reports, publications and editorials.
Serves as liaison between the University Relations writing team and the Development directors in interpreting priorities and schedules to ensure timely and accurate work.
Provides editorial support for university-wide communication projects as needed; provides general technical knowledge and experience in writing, editing and communication.
Coordinates work with a broad group of writers/editors.
Develops and implements project management procedures and systems.
Researches, writes and edits funding proposals to support the university's highest priorities.
Produces donor recognition reports, marketing documents, publications progress reports, etc.
Works closely with other advancement communications departments and integrates efforts where possible.
Performs other job-related duties as required.

Bachelors and 5 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
