The Synopsys Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering team is growing and seeking a Director, Enterprise Security Engineering. This is a leadership role for strategic planning, design, implementation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity engineering initiatives to support the organization in meeting specific business technology needs.
As the Leader in the Cybersecurity organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our security transformation, evaluate security controls and identify opportunities to enhance the security posture, build or manage enterprise security capabilities effectively, communicate effectively across all levels of management to articulate vision and direction.
You will lead a diverse team of security engineers focusing on securing, building solutions using the latest technologies to protect Synopsys in alignment with Cybersecurity and business needs and strategy.
Job Requirements
- Responsible for leading a team of Enterprise Security engineers in the development and maintenance of the enterprise security. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel.
- Manage enterprise security tools; ensure availability and efficacy of tools, vendor and stakeholder engagements, continuous enhancements in the overall security coverages and tools operations, etc.
- Execute security standard methodologies, ensuring data privacy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and business partners to understand their requirements and provide secure cloud solutions to meet the requirements.
- Participate in product requirement and technical design discussions to influence requirements and designs and to mentor other engineers.
- Identify organization priorities, technical objectives, and design strategies encompassing the entire Synopsys ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
- Align with security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers.
- Review security technologies, tools, and services, and makes recommendations to the broader security team for their use, based on security, financial and operational metrics.
- Deliver foundational and strategic security engineering solutions to extend on-prem capabilities into multi-cloud envionment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Increase efficiency and usability of security tools through automation and integration.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent certified education and experience
- 8+ years of experience managing enterprise security engineering teams
- 10+ years of experience providing Cloud security solutions engineering responsibilities in an enterprise international organization.
- Ability to draft project plans for security service and technology deployments and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Working knowledge with Azure, GCP and AWS cloud providers and their capabilities.
- Experience in cloud computing (e.g., applications security, infrastructure security, storage security, platforms security and data security)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading hard-working engineering teams and successful track record of building and managing an exceptional security engineering team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Familiarity with the following industry frameworks & regulatory standards: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), HIPAA-HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy Practices, ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF/800.53), FedRamp, StteRamp, IEC 62443
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC preferred.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $227,000.00 - $284,000.00. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
