Job Summary
POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a member of the Student Service team, the Curriculum Specialist will provide leadership and assist in a wide variety of curriculum and instructional activities, including curriculum development and integration, assessments and data analysis, effective strategies and practices, evaluation of program effectiveness, grant writing and management, and building strong partnerships with Student Services staff and community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists in the development of departmental goals and objectives;
• Identifies, plans, organizes, and implements strategies related to department goals and objectives;
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with Student Services school staff to coordinate curricular offerings and services;
• Coordinates department curricular offerings including course development, implementation of initiatives;
• Develops partnerships with other branches, public and private agencies, and community organizations;
• Provides support, guidance, and technical assistance in the areas of curriculum and instruction;
• Researches, applies, monitors, and maintains all aspects of related grants supporting Student Services;
• Coordinates and supports the integration of technology into instruction and the learning process;
• Serves as a resource to meet wide-range needs including technical support, classroom demonstrations;
• Coordinates the adoption and acquisition of instructional materials;
• Plans, develops, provides, and facilitates professional development and workshops;
• Assists with the evaluation and analysis of assessment data;
• Recommends strategies to meet the diverse needs of students;
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Possession of a Master’s degree in Education or a related field, from an
accredited college or university;
• Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential;
• Possession of a valid California Administrative Services credential -or-
Certificate of Eligibility (COE) in Administrative Services;
• Three (3) years of teaching experience;
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional methodology, and assessment;
• Two (2) years of experience developing and conducting presentations;
• Two (2) years of experience in a lead or advisory position.
