Job Summary
The job of School Office Manager is for the purpose of providing secretarial support to a school site; establishing and maintaining records; compiling and distributing materials and reports; and providing direction and assistance to office staff, parents, teachers, students and visitors.
This job reports to the school site Administrator or designee.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalency and one year (24 semester or 36 quarter units) of college-level coursework in office management, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field. Two (2) years of clerical experience, preferably in educational settings. One or more years of school district or public agency based clerical experience including public contact may be substituted for the required college coursework.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
This is an open and promotional recruitment. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each test part of the examination process. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future permanent and substitute vacancies.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each test part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each test part. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future permanent and substitute vacancies.

Date of Examination
