Who we are looking for:
VML Health is seeking an Account Supervisor to join the team in our New York office. The Account Supervisor (AS) is in charge of the day-to-day activities and the development of tactics on the account. The AS coordinates with the client brand team and internal and external partners. The AS builds and strengthens internal and client relationships, working with the account team to provide sound and responsible client counsel. The position also assumes financial responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll do:
- Client | Acts as primary client contact on day-to-day program development and execution for larger/more complex programs. Establishes and maintains a positive and trusted relationship with the client. Proactively finds solutions to day-to-day issues/problems. May develop or assist account leader(s) in preparing and delivering client presentations and recommendations. Alerts account leaders of any current or anticipated client relationship disparities. Demonstrates to client how agency adds value. Works with senior team members to promote organic growth within the business, leveraging agency capabilities and services. Works with account leaders to manage client expectations.
- Team | Works with senior team members, helps guide strategy on a program or tactical level. Works both independently and with account leader(s) to provide consultative recommendations to clients, in order to sell-in new ideas to help meet client needs, utilizing additional agency and network resources as necessary. Works with broader team members, including Marketing Intelligence staff, utilizes analytic financial principles to refine program strategy (e.g., ROI, allowable spend, etc.) as appropriate. Researches and updates team on current industry news related to experience, engagement, relationship or digital marketing or client projects.
Maintains overall knowledge in all agency disciplines, particularly in how they can be leveraged to help meet client objectives and strategies. - Process | Expands upon guidelines and instructions provided by senior team to enhance the program strategically at a tactical level. Ensures agency output meets strategic and business objectives, as outlined in Creative Brief and/or other related strategy documents. Assists clients in staying true to the creative brief, by measuring their feedback against agreed-upon strategy and engaging with client on this level, both independently and in conjunction with senior team members, if necessary. Contributes to overall strategic and tactical planning process.
Ensures deployment of analyses and tools as appropriate. Reviews program results, research findings, segmentation data, competitive activity, etc. to identify marketing refinements and opportunities.

What You’ll Need:
- Four to six years of industry-related (pharmaceutical/healthcare advertising preferred) project management experience.
- Experience with DTC (direct-to-consumer) facing pharma advertising and/or the healthcare space.
- Strong communication and effective organizational skills.
- Experience managing social and digital projects and working with the media team on analytics and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to understand and interpret clinical data.
- Financial aptitude to develop and manage project budgets.
- Understanding of major market healthcare issues/restrictions.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated managerial ability.
- Strong analytical/strategic skills and above-average interpersonal skills.
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
