Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the TRIO/Student Support Services (”SSS”) program, ensuring compliance with the program regulations. Manage the overall process of students selected for the Student Support Services program including but not limited to application, recruitment and onboarding. Lead and directs the departmental assessment efforts and assists with DOE reporting. Manage the maintenance of student roster, caseload, files and documentation for program participants.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree. Two years experience in development and/or delivery of developmental educational programming for economically and educationally under-prepared or disadvantaged students. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty/staff and community. Strong writing skills. Superior knowledge and experience with data collection, analysis and management. Knowledge and skill in the use of integrated software systems, word processing and other software applications. In-depth of experience in student success program delivery to an underserved college student population. Innovative leadership and someone who has demonstrated strengths in relationship building and collaborative team management. A strategic manager, able to work collaboratively as part of a team in a flexible, dynamic environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to budget and schedule. Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with all facets of the organization to develop and execute plans, leveraging various teams across the organization. Ability to plan, set goals, monitor progress and evaluate results.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience in academic or career advising in a college or university setting. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with student programs and services provided through TRIO grants or similar educational initiatives. Experience with federally funded grants and successful grant writing and grant/budget management experience.
