Job Description
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Programmer Analyst Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project. Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications. Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications. Maintain, test, and integrate application components. Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented. Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry. Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs. Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation. Suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems. Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations. Conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks. May participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals. Perform other related duties assigned as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing end-to-end systems development life cycles including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development; working with business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through Unified Modeling Language (UML) and use cases; providing technical support in a software production environment, including installation, maintenance, and support of application/source code and third-party components; detecting, diagnosing, and reporting problems; analyzing and resolving incidents or known errors related to application and supporting software failures; assisting programming staff in analyzing application software changes, performance, and resource usage; maintaining comprehensive documentation for application software support; Offering 24-hour support for applications and supporting software; providing consultation to internal users on software capabilities and usage; following escalation procedures to resolve incidents or known errors promptly; participating in project support, disaster recovery planning, operational reporting, product monitoring, application security, and change management, including on-call support; implementing technical skills with Java Spring Beans, Unix, Kafka, and Elastic; and working with tools including Splunk, Kibana, and Dynatrace.
