Overview | New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. The Rutgers RWJ Medical School is seeking applications for the role of Program Director for the Neurotranslational Program. In this position, the Center Director will be instrumental in formulating and executing a comprehensive strategy for the Rutgers Neuromodulation Technology Innovation Center. Collaborating closely with the Chair, the Director’s responsibilities will encompass budget oversight, the development of fundraising strategies, the cultivation of partnerships with academic institutions, planning for patent protection, securing grants, overseeing website management, and crafting marketing materials. Furthermore, the Director will proactively seek opportunities for expansion by researching and implementing strategies gleaned from visits to other renowned national Innovation Centers.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: - Collaborates with the Chairman and Faculty to develop and implement the strategic plan for the Rutgers Neuromodulation Technology Center.
- Effectively manages and monitors the budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Devises a comprehensive strategy to secure philanthropic and industry support for the program.
- Establishes and enhances the center’s presence through a partnership with Rutgers Biomedical Engineering.
- Works collaboratively to create a robust plan for protecting project patents, and intellectual property, and facilitating technology transfer.
- Identifies and oversees promising grant opportunities for the Center and provide guidance for individual research projects.
- Supervises the ongoing development and maintenance of the Center’s website.
- Creates promotional materials to increase the visibility of the Center and its activities.
