THE POSITION

Kings Gap Environmental Education Center is seeking a dedicated individual who is enthusiastic about maintaining the park facilities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all park visitors. This role involves hands-on work to keep the park in top condition for recreation and relaxation purposes.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The role entails carrying out semi-skilled tasks independently or supporting a skilled worker in performing regular duties related to the maintenance and enhancement of a State Park. This includes conducting minor repairs on buildings and other basic structures, taking care of the grounds, ensuring cleanliness of restrooms, performing general housekeeping duties, and contributing to the overall upkeep of the park's facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday - Sunday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Scheduled days will vary based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
