Employee Benefits Account Manager needed for an Insurance Agency located in Del Mar.

PAY: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Duties will include, but are not limited to: Small group experience is needed for this role. Large group experience is a plus! Book is approximately $300k - $500k in premium; varied clients. Will assist two Producers with new business and renewals as well as preparing proposals and presenting presentations.
Assist employees with day-to-day questions.
Identify and resolve claim/billing issues, working with the employee and the insurance carrier.
Act as the employee liaison to internal service departments within the benefits division, including Flexible Spending Accounts and COBRA.
Respond to all employee inquiries, including any Open Enrollment, Affordable Care Act (ACA), compliance and legislative questions.
Assist callers with questions regarding Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability.
Assist in all areas of the enrollment process, including eligibility, qualifying events, terminations and plan design clarification.
Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing accounts.
Assist prospects/insureds until a producer is available.
Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years’ experience recently working as an Employee Benefits Account Manager within an Independent Agency environment.
The qualified candidate must hold an active CA Life/Health license.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
EPIC experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects.
Occasional travel for business and training may be required of this position.
