As this is a hybrid role working in our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who currently reside in Northeast Ohio.
The Floorplan Analyst plays a critical role in the Celebrations Department, responsible for developing and executing the space allocation in each retail account using Blue Yonder Floor. The Floorplan Analyst will flawlessly execute the fixture, signage, accessory and product orders to ensure each department’s product allocation reflects a holistic celebrations offering.
The Floorplan Analyst will thrive in a fast-paced environment where they become an active part of project development and growth, analyzing data to understand the sales and space models. This is a highly collaborative role and excellent communication skills are required to convey performance-based strategy or tactic shifts to ensure optimal success of product lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Create and maintain all assigned floorplans • Analyze productivity, inventory efficiency and profitability for their floorplans and suggests areas of opportunity to better achieve goals • Manage productivity of space; identifying opportunities to improve productivity through optimizations • Ensure all retail updates are completed in the most cost effective manner • Enhance the reporting capabilities to enrich American Greeting’s business processes • Participate in executing continuous improvement opportunities; including accessing new skills sets to meet the process changes brought about by new systems and tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong analytic skills • Strong financial knowledge • Clear, crisp communication and presentation skills • Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint • Consumer packaged goods experience preferred in areas of product management and/or merchandising • Space planning/merchandising experience is preferred • Previous experience in JDA or Blue Yonder is highly desirable • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills in a retail setting
