Position Summary
Mag is looking for a Software Engineer you will design, develop, and evaluate code for real time modeling of environmental factors in a distributed battlespace simulation. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. NGTS is a highly advanced virtual training system offering Navy and Air Force pilots the ability to train in a mission setting. This position has a Hybrid option.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design, develop, and evaluate code for real time modeling of environmental factors in a distributed battlespace simulation.
Collaborating with team members.
Interfacing with sensor models.
Analyzing and profiling program performance.
Working with industry, SMEs, and operators to push the state of the art in simulation used for platform Operational Test and high-end training.

BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify as substitute.
Desired Requirements
Experience with Linux, Git, modeling/simulation, distributed systems, statistics, college level calculus-based physics, linear algebra.
Basics of signal processing, control theory, information theory are also a plus.
Clearance
Must be able to obtain a maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
