The Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)/Cellular Therapies Quality Management Analyst will play a key role in developing, coordinating, managing, and executing quality duties under the purview of the Quality Manager, Director of Operations, and Hematology/BMT/Cellular Therapies Medical Director. Requires the capacity to deal with a diverse group of personnel and faculty. Ability to multitask and deal with high volumes of work and skillset to project manage and problem solve to deliver quality results.
The Hem/BMT/Cellular Therapies Quality Management Analyst will also work closely with the Quality Manager and with other managers from the Infusion, Apheresis, Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical Units, and the Blood and Marrow Transplant Lab on projects designed to improve effectiveness or efficiency in several quality initiatives, data management, efficiency in quality operations. Provides input on the development of benchmarks to better oversee the entire quality aspects of the Department.
The Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapies program is an expanding program, and the successful candidate will use skills as an experienced and seasoned quality analyst to manage, plan, and administer the data and quality of the Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant program. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Reporting to the Hem/BMT/Cell Therapies Quality Manager, the candidate will be an independent, detail-oriented individual who contributes to quality improvement initiatives and is committed to the values of the program. The candidate will be a highly organized individual who is able to abstract, trend, and analyze clinical data and quality metrics. The candidate will be able to collect and synthesize data to monitor quality benchmarks, create reports, audits, and will share these findings at a Quality Management Compliance Committee (QMCC) and other departments. The candidate will utilize these findings to perform short and long-term planning and collaborate in the development of strategies to work towards achieving the set goals and metrics of the BMT quality program.

- Advanced degree preferred.
- BA/BS in a clinical or biological science or health care-related field
- 3 years related quality experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Working knowledge of MasterControl, FACT, CIBMTR, NMDP, FDA, CDPH, and GCP rules and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience using programs including EPIC, MasterControl, Microsoft Office, FileMaker, and FormsNet
- Thorough knowledge of QI standards, clinical chart review and abstraction, and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of QI models, tools, and techniques, including collection, abstraction, validation, analysis, reporting of data, and use of performance and benchmark indicators.
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPPA
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations, processes, protocols, and procedures for quality management.
- Knowledge of a variety of quality operational activities, analytics, regulatory regulations, and guidelines.
- Knowledge in organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, and see projects through inception to completion on schedule.
- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Ability to interact appropriately with oncology staff and physicians
- Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Prior experience with various computer programs, like Microsoft Office.
