Execute all projects as expected in a timely manner. Lead the area work teams and develop a positive work team environment. Take responsibility for ensuring accidents are managed properly. Coordinate information with the Human Resources and Safety Specialist. Be an active member/participant in work and process improvement, safety and other areas that are pertinent to the area. Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary. Ability to run the shift in the absence of the supervisor. Assist the team to achieve goals & objectives. Additional duties and various projects as needed. Requirements and Duties: Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices (GMP'S and GLP's). Knowledge of PC software and data entry experience (SAP preferred). Good communications skills both writing and verbal. Proficient computer skills- Microsoft word, Excel and Power point. Ability to use basic equipment in sensory labs i.e. scales, thermometers, hotplates etc. Must be organized, observant and detail oriented. Ability to multitask and adapt/ manage rapidly changing priorities. Ability to work in team environment as well as the ability to work independently. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE High School/ G. E. D Minimum 4 years' experience on the field (Food Industry is a plus)Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
