Job Abstract

ICI Services is looking for motivated individuals who want to join our team in Oxnard, CA. We need an SSDS CSSQT Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

• Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

• Serve as expert member of Ship's Self Defense System (SSDS) team in support of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) tasking and for all issues related to the testing of SSDS Combat System (CS) elements on various ship classes.
• Provide technical support, and planning and coordination support for Combat Systems Assessments and Training (CSAT), Combat Systems Ship Qualifications and Training (CSSQT), Combat System Operability Test (CSOT), Overall Combat System Operability Test (OCSOT), and other Combat Systems related testing and assessments.
• Have a broad knowledge of the ship’s total CS, their interfaces, and an in-depth knowledge of the electronic, electro-mechanical and command control interface aspects of the total CS.
• Responsible for participating in tests on land based systems, supporting Combat System Interface Testing (CSIT) and ship board systems both in port and during underway periods, and special projects designed to investigate significant existing or potential operational and maintenance problems which impact the effectiveness of the fleet.
• Prepare and give technical presentations, generate written reports and provide oral presentations to different levels of military and civilian leadership when required.
• Communicate effectively both written and orally with the program office, shipyards, contractors, etc.
• Answer/assist in providing answers to data calls.
• Position requires travel up to 60%.

• 5-7 years of knowledge and experience on elements of Ship's Self Defense Systems, including Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) system, NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System (NSSMS), Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM), Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS), Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), and life cycle support.
• Troubleshooting of electronic components experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of UNIX based system language highly desired.

• High School Graduate/GED or Technical School Graduate
• Bachelor Degree in a relevant field is preferred
