Your Role
As a Gensler Architect in Oakland’s Lifestyle Studio, it’s your job to lead the development of retail architectural projects for a variety of clients. Leverage your technical acumen and industry experience to drive client projects from concept through build.
What You Will Do
Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, etc.
Manage client relationships and team communication
Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions
Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
Maintain the project manual and specifications
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master's degree in Architecture
Must be a licensed architect in the State of California
10+ years of related experience, with a range of retail project types (both interior and exterior projects), food and beverage experience a plus.
Experience with Revit (required), Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
Working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
LEED accreditation and experience preferred
**The base salary will be estimated between $118,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
