Job Overview:
Supports and develops clinical systems as they relate to medication use and safety. Creates appropriate changes within the applications to support daily operational workflow within the health system pharmacies. Understands the requirements related to the various medication use initiatives and translates these requirements into detailed design specifications within the pharmacy applications. Meets as needed with members of both the Clinical Pharmacy team and other IT teams to ensure that the solutions being designed within the EMR with regard to medication use are viable and effective. Responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects ensuring successful completion of project expectations within the required timeline. Provision of 24/7 on call support required.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and licensure in clinical area – rPH, PharmD required.
2 to 3 years of equivalent professional experience in varied pharmacy and clinical applications, as they relate to medication use and safety, in support, build and implementation.
Prior experience with project implementation and/or support experience, including some segment of the system development life cycle or project management required.
Certification in Microsoft, project management or equivalent highly preferred.
