$90,000.00 /Yr. - $120,000.00 /Yr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

The Cyber Security Engineer will report directly to the VP, Cyber Security and will give you an exciting opportunity to define and shape the future state of cyber security at the bank, as it begins to embrace Zero Trust philosophies. This role will be responsible for leading strategy, labeling and policy design for micro segmentation and ZTNA initiatives. Successful execution of the Zero Trust initiative will result in a transformation of Bank’s security program. The Cyber Security Engineer must be proficient in server and networking technologies and have deep understanding of zero trust concepts, as well as an understanding of cross-functional application / business impacts. This role requires one to have a good background within common enterprise strategies, corporate policies, as well as change management and project management processes. This position will be 100% on-site and located at at our HQ in San Diego, CA., or any additional office locations to include: Las Vegas, Centennial, Omaha, and Kansas City.
Responsibilities:
- Publishing, monitoring, and mandating information and computer security policies and security awareness information and programs
- Scheduling and supervising periodic network security assessments across multiple platforms and/or distributed networks
- Performing complex security resource and access rule maintenance; developing and implementing security monitoring and violation reports that identify any attempt to access unauthorized materials
- Providing security support in a distributed environment; participating in technical evaluations of enterprise security access control products
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' of Information Systems and Network experience in a Security role
- Deep network security experience in multiple domains (firewall, intrusion prevention, micro-segmentation, cloud native networking, web proxy)
- Knowledge with information security systems (Endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, penetration testing, security information event management, etc.)
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as CIS, NIST and ISO 27001
- Experience mentoring both technical and business units and providing best practice recommendations
- CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent experience
