Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the Principal serves as the educational leader. They are responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a high quality comprehensive educational program and must administer the program in accordance with school board policies and administrative rules and regulations. The Principal is expected to embody, promote, and lead The Accelerated Schools organization and school’s mission, vision, and policies. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with all educational partners. Inherent to the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.
