DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Develop, lead, and oversee the daily work of a team of high-performing individuals in Human Resources and Risk Management Department
Supporting the administration of all Company benefits programs including, all health plans, 401(k) plans, wellness programs, paid time off, and leave of absence
Own competitive analysis of benefits programs, coordinating with brokers/vendors on the negotiation of renewals, RFPs, initiate proposals for scalability (leveraging technology) and improvements in design, administration and cost efficiency
Acts as an escalated point of contact and as an advisor to operations leaders for all people related matters
Effectively manages employee relations by coaching leaders through investigations, gathering and properly storing information, and assisting in the resolution of more complex situations
Instills a culture of accountability by building leaders' skills with effective performance management processes
Educates operations leadership, and ensures compliance with all employment laws
Maintains HR metrics enabling consistent decision making
Analyzes HR data, identifies trends, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
Develop, align, implement, measure and communicate a risk management strategy that includes short- and long-term objectives
Practices an Operations First culture, using the lens of an operator in all actions and makes sure the company’s values are reflected in these actions
Contributes to enhancing, creating and implementing programs and practices
Liaise with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy as it relates to the department
Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years of Human Resources Management with leadership responsibility
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, local and federal employment law
Strong knowledge of all leaves of absence such as FMLA, personal leaves, short-term disability and state regulated leaves
Knowledge of O.S.H.A/Cal O.S.H.A. laws, rules and regulations; procedures and techniques for coordination of risk management and loss prevention programs
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective and efficient alternative solutions
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public
Ability to objectively coach management and navigate complex, difficult issues
Excellent analytical abilities and well-developed problem-solving skills
Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
High personal standards: the ability to represent the company positively
Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
Ability to manage ambiguity and exercise independent judgment
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
21+years of age
Proficient in Windows MS Office, Outlook and HRIS
Strong relationship-building skills required to productively interact across all levels of the organization
